IMVU is a three-dimensional graphical instant messaging program that allows you to chat with other users using a avatar character that you design and customize. Although it is free to use and chat on IMVU, you may find upon joining that some of the items that you really want, such as new scenes to chat in and new customizations for your character, cost money. If you do not want to pay that money or are simply tired of using the program, delete your IMVU account with these steps.

- Proceed to the IMVU.com login page and enter your avatar name or email address and password.
- Open a new browser window or tab and proceed to the IMVU Delete Account page.
- Type your IMVU password, and then click “Continue.” This deletes your IMVU account and sends a confirmation message to your registered email address.
