iPad 2 supplies are incredibly scarce, with Apple so far unable to meet demand for the hot product. PC World reports that eBay speculators are rolling in money thanks to this development, with 64 GB 3G iPads selling for as much as $1,235. We took a quick look at eBay, and an auction for a 16 GB Wi-Fi iPad 2 (White) closed at $640 while this article was being written. The prices are slightly better on Amazon, with the same iPad 2 model selling for $624, ranging up to the 64 GB AT&T iPad 2, which is selling for $950 (the Verizon model sells for $919). If you can’t want for Apple to replenish its supply of the iPad 2 and you are looking for the lowest possible price, Amazon seems to be the better bet right now.
